How to register and schedule a certification test

Cloudera professional certification tests are offered at locations throughout the world through our delivery partner, Pearson VUE.

Before you can register and schedule a test with Pearson VUE, you must have a Cloudera ID. You will have a Cloudera ID if you completed at least one Cloudera certification test in the past at a Pearson VUE test center (you will not have an ID if you previously completed a Cloudera certification test delivered online in a Cloudera training class). If you have not completed any Cloudera Certification Program tests, the testing system will generate a Cloudera Testing ID for you. Your Cloudera ID is your unique identifier for the Cloudera Certification Program. Multiple Cloudera Testing IDs can jeopardize the validity of your Cloudera certification records, so be sure to record this number for future Cloudera test appointments.

If you have not taken a Cloudera certification test at a Pearson VUE test center in the past, visit http://www.pearsonvue.com/cloudera/activity and create a new Web account. Please read the instructions carefully.

If you have taken a Cloudera certification test at a Pearson VUE test center in the past but do not remember your Cloudera ID, visit http://www.pearsonvue.com/cloudera/activity and use the links on the right side of the page to recover your username, password, and Cloudera ID.

Once you have your Cloudera ID, you may locate a test center near you and schedule to take a test at http://www.pearsonvue.com/cloudera.

Information required to schedule a test:

• Legal Name (from government issued ID)
• Cloudera Certification ID (only if you've previously taken a Cloudera test)
• Company Name (optional)
• Valid email address
• Method of Payment (see below for payment information)

A valid email is required during test registration. Cloudera requires a valid email to send you a certificate, as a PDF, upon successful completion and a passing score on your certification test.

Individuals may pay with major credit cards and companies and organizations may buy vouchers in any quantity directly through Pearson VUE.

Pearson Vue is Cloudera's authorized test delivery partner. You can register online, by telephone, or by walk in (where available). In the U.S. and Canada, tests usually can be scheduled up to six weeks in advance, and as late as the same day. (Individuals using a test voucher must register at least 24 hours in advance.) Scheduling policies vary at international locations.

Individuals who have attended a training class

Individuals who take certain training classes from Cloudera or a Cloudera Authorized Training Partner receive a free voucher code with their course registration that allows them to register and take a Cloudera test through any Pearson VUE testing center globally. Each voucher is valid for three (3) months from the last day of their training class.


Individuals who have not attended a training class

Individuals who do not take a training class with Cloudera or a Cloudera authorized training partner may pay to take the test directly from Cloudera’s test delivery partner, Pearson VUE, at http://www.pearsonvue.com/cloudera.

Test Discounts, Vouchers and Promotional Codes

Neither Cloudera nor Pearson VUE, Cloudera's sole authorized test delivery partner, guarantees the authenticity of discount vouchers or promotional codes obtained from any individuals or entities other than Cloudera or Pearson VUE.
Individuals or Cloudera-affiliated partners who use certification discount vouchers or promotional codes that are fraudulent or otherwise obtained from an unauthorized source (including legitimate vouchers for attempted re-use) may risk penalties up to and including a lifetime ban on all future tests, the nullification of all previous certifications or other program sanctions at the discretion of Cloudera. Cloudera will not compensate candidates for fraudulent vouchers or vouchers obtained from an unauthorized source.
